How quickly can you turn around a shortlist?

Most active briefs go from kick-off call to a calibrated shortlist within seven to ten working days. Niche briefs - principal-level platform engineers, hands-on cloud security architects, FinOps leads - can take longer because the candidate pool is smaller and we will not pad a shortlist with near-misses. We give you a realistic timeline at discovery and update you weekly.

How do you actually screen for technical depth?

Every candidate goes through a stack-specific conversation with a consultant from a cloud or DevOps background. We probe real production experience - architectures shipped, incidents owned, cost decisions made - rather than relying on the candidate's own list of acronyms. We also align with your engineering team on the technical loop so the screening signal carries through.

How do you charge?

We work on either a contingent or retained basis depending on the seniority and confidentiality of the role. Most engineer and senior engineer briefs run as contingent searches, payable only on a successful start. Principal, lead and confidential leadership hires are typically retained, with milestone-based fees. Terms are agreed in writing before we begin.

Do you offer a replacement guarantee?

Yes. Every placement is backed by a written replacement guarantee. If a candidate leaves within the agreed period, we run the search again at no additional fee. The specific window is confirmed in our engagement letter and aligned to the seniority of the role.
